Yeimi Martinez
Product Designer · UX/UI Designer · Quality Engineering
Product designer working on enterprise software where the hard part is rarely the interface, it's making someone confident enough to use it correctly the first time. I design complex administrative tools and build the guidance into them, so the product teaches itself rather than routing users to support.
Nine years shaping software products came first, seven of them in quality engineering, across EdTech, healthcare, media, and Web3. That background is why I map edge cases and error paths alongside the happy path, and why I can anticipate misuse before a feature ships rather than after. I drive rapid ideation-to-prototype cycles using Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and Figma Make, and design to WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards.

Mar 2025 – Present
UX/UI Designer · Remote
- Designed the Privileged Access Management interface and its integration into the management console, then joined a second team to build its account claiming flow, accelerating their delivery timeline and extending shared functionality across the product ecosystem.
- Redesigned two district-facing products, translating complex rostering and directory sync workflows into simpler, scalable interfaces that hold to WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards.
- Built contextual guidance directly into shipped features, including step-level explanations, column-level help, and explicit boundary statements for destructive-seeming operations, so administrators could act correctly without contacting support.
- Turned user personas into reusable AI agents and hooks, running them against prototypes as A/B tests before client demos, making concept validation a repeatable step instead of a one-off.
- Led client interviews and design demos with the Product Manager, then synthesized feedback into reworked flows in the same session, collapsing a multi-day iteration cycle into a single meeting.
- Designed and built AI-assisted prototype applications using Claude Code, Cursor, Figma Make, and ChatGPT, mapping critical user flows and error paths.
- Launched two internal proprietary AI prototype apps by pairing design judgment with hands-on development to validate concepts early.
- Produced wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes tailored to specific technical constraints, handing off to engineering through Jira after Product Manager sign-off to cut post-handoff communication cycles.

QA Lead · Remote
Held concurrently with the UX/UI Designer role from Mar 2025
- Transitioned into the UX/UI Designer role in Mar 2025 while continuing to lead QA through Oct 2025, holding both roles through the handover and bridging design and quality practices across teams.
- Built wireframes and mockups to communicate proposed interaction changes to product and engineering, work that led directly into the design role.
- Reviewed UI implementations against design specifications, logging usability gaps as defects and advocating for accessibility fixes before release.
- Wrote acceptance criteria and contributed to design specifications and user flows alongside product and design partners, participating in design reviews, critiques, and research sessions.
- Formulated comprehensive test plans, milestones, and QA roadmaps in TestRail to align releases with scheduled feature launches.
- Steered cross-functional QA operations across multiple releases and mentored junior QA engineers through critical deployment cycles.
